renters insurance-Raleigh ? Breaking out the Windows - Like a ...

renters insurance Raleigh NC There are more drivers on the road every year. With the increasing number of vehicles on the road, accidents can happen. The difference between a small bother and large pain can be car insurance. So how do you know what insurance you need and how much to buy? Auto insurance protects you by covering the cost of damage caused to your car or someone else?s car and injury to other people, yourself, or passengers in your car, and certain other occurrences, such as theft. Your state or province certainly mandates some type of auto insurance. Without insurance, you run the risk of having to pay the total price of the harm you cause others. Liability: This kind of insurance can pay for the damage that you have caused. These damages may include personal injury, and property damage. Bodily injury damages can include medical expenses, and lost wages. Property damage includes damaged property or loss of use of property. If you are sued, liability insurance will pay for your court costs. Recommended, higher levels of insurance are available that cover more than the lower, state-mandated varieties. Personal Injury Protection: This type of insurance pays for hospital bills and other medical treatment for you or your passengers, regardless of who was at fault in the accident. It is sometimes referred to as no-fault coverage. State government typically sets minimum amounts. Medical Payments: Medical payment coverage is available in non-no-fault states; it pays despite who may have been at fault. All necessary medical or funeral expenses will be paid for under this insurance coverage. Collision: Damages that occur from a car accident will be paid for under this kind of insurance. Comprehensive: Applies if your car is stolen or damaged by something other than a collision, including weather damage or vandalism. Uninsured Motorist: Thousands of drivers are ignoring the law by driving a car without having the right amount of auto insurance. This type of coverage will protect you if one of these drivers hit you. Under-Insured Motorist: Many drivers have liability insurance that can?t cover all the expenses they are supposed to take care of. This type of insurance covers you from those drivers. Emergency road service, car rental, and other varieties of car insurance can also be purchased. Your auto insurance payments vary by company and will depend on several factors, such as: * Which policies you select * The type of the car you own * Your driving record * Your age, gender and marital status * The place where you live Many drivers don?t want to pay for auto insurance, but it is truly something you don?t want to live without. Evaluate your needs, do your research , and with the support of your insurance agency, choose the option that best suits you.

NASA App HD (for iPad)

There are many good NASA-sponsored or NASA-related apps for the iPad, NASA Television, NASA Visualization Explorer 1.5 and 3D Sun to name a few, but none compares in breadth of content with NASA App HD. This app, compiled by NASA's Ames Research Center, combines insightful articles and news stories, dazzling images and videos, live TV feeds, and more as a one-stop portal for most everything NASA. It's similar to NASA App (for iPhone), but with additional content and more screen area to display it on. Everyone from children and young students to hardcore space geeks will find fascinating things in this app, and it's an easy pick for an Editors' Choice educational iPad app.

A Tour of the Solar System
While NASA App (for iPhone) arranges its section icons in a grid that fills most of an iPhone's home page screen, the iPad's much larger screen size afforded NASA the luxury of App HD (for iPad) has the luxury of placing the home-page icons on the top and bottom of the screen, leaving most of the screen open to show a representation of the solar system, a section particularly good for students. Tapping the Sun, Moon, or any of the planets brings up images of the object, data about its physical characteristics, as well as historical and descriptive information, a timeline of important events related to our understanding of the orb and an overview of NASA missions. Pluto is included, along with a discussion of what constitutes a planet; dwarf planets; and the Kuiper Belt and Oort Cloud. There is also a section on Asteroids, Comets, and Meteors, and one on the Universe, largely in the context of how NASA has helped increase our understanding of these.

Cool Space Pics
Along the bottom of the screen are seven thumbnails, labeled Images, News, NASA TV, Videos, Tweets, Featured, and Radio, respectively. Tapping Images takes you to a frequently updated collection of more than 10,000 beautiful, captioned images, representing a wide range of space-related activities, most with some connection to NASA. You can search on different subjects; rather than a list, the results are a bank of images related to the subject that you can swipe through. You can also access images from a given date by tapping on a calendar icon. You can share them on Twitter or Facebook, email them, save them to your camera roll, or print them.

What's New in the Cosmos?
News takes you to a repository of informative news stories and feature articles, accessible to a general audience. They range from late-breaking items to stories going back two years. It's arranged in 10 sections: News and Features; Shuttle and Station; Solar System; Universe; Aeronautics; Earth; Technology: NASA in your Life; NASA History & People; and Breaking News. New items are frequently added. You can post links to stories to Twitter or Facebook, email stories, or print them from within the app. One drawback is that unlike NASA App (for iPhone), there's no feature for searching for news items on a specific subject. If you get NASA App HD, there's no need to get the separate NASA TV app, as it's incorporated into this app. NASA TV lets you tune in to live and recorded content from NASA's TV station, and provides a program schedule. ?The Videos section hosts a frequently updated collection containing a wide range of informative and fun videos: Mars Curiosity and International Space Station (ISS) updates, NASA TV stories, and much more. You can search for videos by topic, share them on Twitter or Facebook, or email them. The Tweets section accesses tweets from a variety of NASA feeds. You can retweet them after a fashion, post them to Facebook, email them, or more. The catch with retweeting is that it doesn't automatically fill in the name of the NASA feed, so to retweet or respond, you have to type in the NASA Twitter handle yourself. (You can also access your Twitter account and send tweets unrelated to NASA, but it's awkward as a Twitter client.)

Year of the Solar System
The Featured tab sends you to featured content, a series of very informative, accessible, and well written multimedia articles under the umbrella heading Year of the Solar System. (A filing cabinet icon so far contains only Year of the Solar System, but seemingly anticipates that there will be other future themes.) Stories can be tweeted, posted to Facebook, emailed, or printed. From the main theme page, a camera icon takes you to related images, and a film icon to videos.

Rock On with NASA
The Radio icon takes you to Third Rock Radio, a NASA station where the Rock is rock music, streamed over the Internet. It?s a nice selection of music, though a bit ad-laden.Across the top of the home page are six more icons. Launch Services covers NASA's launch services program, the space agency's management of missions (its own, as well as ones with commercial payloads) and expendable launch vehicles (from the Atlas and Delta rockets built by the United Launch Alliance to SpaceX's Falcon and Orbital Sciences' Taurus and Pegasus rockets. It discusses past and future missions, and has sections on launch sites, which in addition to Cape Canaveral include Wallops Island in Virginia, the Vandenberg Air Force Base in California, the Ronald Reagan ballistic missile defense site in the Marshall Islands, and the Kodiak launch complex in Alaska. Sighting Opportunities gives information on viewing the brightest NASA satellites/spacecraft from your location.

Visiting NASA
NASA Centers displays a map of the U.S., with each NASA center marked by a red pin, and your location marked in blue. Tapping a pin brings up information on visiting that center, including hours of operation, ticket info, and links to other useful information.

Launch Schedule gives information about upcoming launches by NASA (and SpaceX; the first mission mentioned is that company's Falcon9 ongoing resupply flight to the ISS) and its ISS partners, giving info that may include the launch date; name of mission; launch vehicle, site, and pad; launch window; and description of the mission.

Missions calls up a list of current and future NASA missions in alphabetical order; tapping one takes you to a page with information about it. They include well-known missions such as the Cassini Saturn mission and more obscure ones like Jason-1, an oceanography satellite that monitors global ocean circulation and helps improve global climate predictions.

The Settings (gear) icon lets you show or disable external links, show or hide alerts, and prevent or enable sleep.

As NASA?s flagship app, NASA App HD (for iPad) contains a wealth of frequently updated multimedia content about the space agency?s activities, missions, and discoveries. It has a huge archive of cool images and videos, informative news stories and features, as well as live feeds from NASA TV, and information about how to visit NASA?s centers. Anyone with an interest in space will want to download this free app. There are many NASA iPad apps, but none has anything near the range of content of of Editors? Choice NASA App HD.

Dealing With Nerves In Golf

The story you are about to hear is from my first professional golf event.

The event was not a major of course, or had in the field major stars, but it was full of many good international golf tour players and young golfers who were aspiring to make it big. The event was partially televised on a cable channel, an energy was flying around as the golfers were anticipating a good season ahead after an off season full of golf training and practice sessions honing their skills.

had a very strong belief and really did know I was good enough to be there.I knew from experience what scores were being shot on average at these events, and was very confident I could beat or at least match them. I had had played some practice rounds and been on the practice range with people watching my striking and swing abilities.I had seen nothing in any players beyond average, many were quite pathetic actually. Blatantly rich kids blowing their trust funds pretending to be as good as Tiger Woods.Yet very annoyingly there was still doubt.

Was I really ready?

There where so many thoughts going through my head leading up to the event, and still unfortunately on the day as well. I did not have a coach at this point, none of my friends had turned pro at this time. Many of my friends did not know the first thing about golf, let alone the intricacies of professional golf.

Just some of the doubts that were flying through my mind were (let me know if any are familiar to you); Should I have stayed an amateur golfer longer? I mean I had only been playing 5 ish years really.

Should I, could I have practised more?

Maybe not more, but better, with greater precision instead of volume.

Was my golf swing okay, was it going to be consistent enough?

I had "it" but was "it" going to be there.I was a very long hitter, but was it enough?

I knew my approximate stats, I knew rarely does anyone hit it past me, yet still I thought I should have more distance.

My putting? Will it let me down?

Course management. I had never really been taught or coached this. I simply whacked the ball and followed it, with little consideration of placement or planning. I had been working on this over the past few months, such as mapping out the course with yardages and knowing what clubs I will take from the tees but it was still alien to me.

I was on the first tee eventually waiting to go, the two others in my group teed off, I have no idea where they hit their golf shots, I was too consumed with bad thoughts and negativity.

How did I snap out of it?

I turned the mindset and the setting in front of me around to my advantage. Suddenly I managed to picture in my head things like the small crowd around the first tee, nudging and whispering to each other? "Ah, here is that Alex guy? you should see him hit the ball? WOW!" Then imagined a commentator saying good things about my distance and swing, etc. and the switch flipped. In my head now, these people were here to see ME! I wandered up, cocky and confident as anything, tossed my ball on the grass, performed my pre-shot routine and busted the 3 wood right down the middle, then marched off head held high and kept it up all round.

Ever since then I used that trick to ooze confidence and trust in my ability and deal with first tee nerves in golf.It is not always about blocking out, it can be about absorbing situations and turning them around if you are smart.

I am sure many of you have encountered nerves before, but as experience happens, our ability to deal with such occasions rises as well. What moments used to give me slight jitters was perhaps club championships, over time it rises up to a big county championship, eventually the level becomes like second nature, and so on.

So you have to be prepared for the next level through your golf fitness training for the swing, the body and the mind. As I have discussed before, being physically fit and prepared for golf will give you huge advantage.

By following a golf training fitness program and introducing exercises for golf strength and flexibility, you enable the mind and the body to be ready for any situation.Because when you get stronger, fitter and sharper will help with Dealing With Nerves In Golf

I forced myself to feel like a big fish in a small pond to help with dealing with nerves in golf. You should try it, it works like a charm.

All over the planet, people are fighting to save animals and plants from extinction even though many species have no utilitarian value for us. In a new book, University of Copenhagen theologian Jakob Wolf takes up this aspect of the climate debate in the context of a religious ethic that spans cultures and religions.

"Some people would claim the modern climate debate is rooted in our desire to survive. But when it comes to the diversity of species, this argument simply doesn't hold water. An orchid from the Cayman Islands, a blue-black pheasant from Vietnam or Javan rhinoceros has no impact on the world economy or the global ecosystem. We only become emotionally caught up in their fight for survival because of a reverence for life rooted in our perception of the world as a work of creation and life as sacred and inviolable," says University of Copenhagen theologian Jakob Wolf in connection with the release of his new book in which he has collected a number of essays on phenomenology, science, ecology and theology.

The modern view of nature and the debate about climate issues and sustainability are based largely on a scientific approach towards the world. However, ethical and emotional approaches to nature also colour these discussions. For example, documentaries about ice melting at the poles appeal to our emotions by showing polar bears having trouble finding food for their young.

Existence Value

The International Union for Conservation and Nature (IUNC) report 'Priceless or Worthless' (September 2012) describes the 100 most threatened species of animals and plants. It stresses the duty of people to safeguard these species of the world even if they serve no function.

"The desire to safeguard species of animals and plants that we don't have any apparent need for is an aspect of the modern climate debate that is based on a religious ethic," says Wolf.

Every living species represents one unique pathway to success developed over millions of years. What we lose with each passing species can never be replaced," Professor Georgina Mace, CBE, FRS, quote from the report

In the introduction to the IUNC report, Professor Jonathan Bailie, of Oxford University, highlights that these species are of no utilitarian value to us and do nothing but represent what he calls 'existence value'. According to Wolf, the concept of nature and species of wildlife being intrinsically valuable reflects an ethical approach to nature that differs distinctly from a scientific perspective.

"Science describes how the world is but it doesn't tell us how it should be. The concept of existence value clearly expresses a view that prescribes a certain course of action a duty to protect endangered species. Whereas a scientist observes a flower in the garden and sees photosynthesis, those of us with an ethical view of the world see an irreplaceable work of art that appeals to our admiration and respect. The concept of the world as being something other than, and more than, the sum of matter is largely metaphysical or religious," Wolf says.

Bailout, layoffs: New pain ahead for EU carmakers

PARIS (AP) ? The extent of the European car industry's troubles was laid bare Wednesday, when France's government tossed a financial lifeline to the continent's No. 2 automaker, Peugeot Citroen, and Ford said it would shut a plant in Belgium, cutting 9,500 jobs.

Experts say France's ?7 billion ($9.1 billion) bailout, a three-year loan guarantee, represents a desperate attempt to avoid the sort of layoffs that companies like Ford are slowly accepting as inevitable.

The problem is the region's carmakers are selling too few cars in Europe, where the financial crisis has caused demand to dry up, and have too many factories. Even Germany's automakers, which had weathered the economic downturn relatively well, are not immune.

"The actions that should have been taken three years ago are starting to be put into place," said Tim Urqhart, senior analyst at IHS Automotive. "It speaks to the gravity of the situation and the seriousness of where things are."

In return for the Peugeot bailout, France's Socialist government asked for greater influence at the carmaker, including a government position and a workers representative on a supervisory board. That would help it avoid job cuts at a time when unemployment is stuck above 10 percent.

"My government has no intention of just giving, of offering a gift without anything in return," Prime Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault said on French radio station France Inter.

Peugeot, which says layoffs are key if the carmaker is to recover, faces a Nov. 15 deadline in its negotiations with the government over how to handle job losses.

It's the first French intervention in the industry since a ?6 billion loan package to Peugeot Citroen and Renault in 2008-2009 when the economy was reeling from a financial crisis that triggered a global recession.

But the European car industry didn't undergo the dramatic overhaul that U.S. bailouts prompted among its carmakers. Peugeot Citroen has struggled since, and is especially vulnerable to the downturn in southern Europe, which makes up more than half its sales and shows no signs of emerging soon from widespread debt problems.

Ford, which expects to lose more than $1 billion a year in Europe, has been pursuing plant closures and layoffs more aggressively.

The company, which sells a quarter of its cars in Europe, announced Wednesday the closure of a car plant in eastern Belgium ? one of its main European factories ? by the end of 2014. It will result in 9,500 direct and indirect job losses.

"This is taking us by surprise and is an extremely bitter pill," Christian Democrat union representative Johan Lamers told The Associated Press in Belgium.

Fears were mounting that the axe may also soon fall in Britain as trade unions at Ford's Southampton plant have been called in for a meeting with management on Thursday.

Ford's move, which still must be negotiated with Belgian employee unions, is far swifter than anything General Motors has been able to accomplish in Europe during the most recent economic downturn. GM also wants to cut its factory capacity in the region and is in negotiations with unions to shutter a plant in Bochum, Germany, in 2017. GM's last factory closure in Europe was an Opel plant in Antwerp, Belgium, in 2010.

GM is also trying to consolidate costs with an alliance with Peugeot: They announced the joint development of four automobile lines to be released in 2016 on Wednesday, saying the alliance would save them $2 billion by 2017. The joint Peugeot- GM program will make a small van for GM's Opel and Vauxhall brands and serve as the basis for a compact crossover vehicle for Peugeot. They'll also develop a new, low-emissions small car and work together on mid-size cars and small vans.

But built into the alliance's four-year timeline is an assumption that the European market will soon bottom out.

"They have overcapacity and big dependence on the European market," Urqhart said.

And even France's latest plan is not guaranteed. European Union regulators generally frown on state intervention into industry, although during the 2008-2009 financial crisis they gave swift approval to France's previous bailout.

Joaquin Almunia, the European Union competition commissioner, said the EU has not yet been formally notified of the latest plan for Peugeot but said the governing body would assess it carefully. Peugeot's CEO Philippe Varin said the government guarantee was at market rates and he expected the EU to look favorably on it.

"The health of (Peugeot) is critical for France," Varin said.

Figures released Wednesday illustrated the problems Peugeot is facing. Sales fell 3.9 percent in the third quarter to ?12.93 billion from ?13.45 billion in the same period last year. Automotive division sales were down 8.5 percent, hurt especially by a weakening European demand and the suspension of deliveries to Iran. Sales increases in China and Russia shored up the company, as has the expansion of the GM alliance.

Peugeot's shares are down more than 60 percent since the beginning of the year, and dropped further on Wednesday. The company will offer no dividends for the term of the bailout, and executives will receive no stock options during that time.

"The main thing the government wants in return, it's really a change in governance" at Peugeot, said Najat Vallaud-Belkacem, the government spokeswoman.

Luxury carmakers such as Germany's BMW AG or Volkswagen AG's Audi brand have generally coped better than the mass market producers, but Daimler AG on Wednesday reported lower third quarter earnings and lowered its full-year outlook.

The maker of Mercedes Benz cars saw its net profit declining 11 percent to ?1.20 billion ($1.6 billion) from ?1.36 billion a year ago amid flat unit sales. The full-year operating profit outlook was lowered to ?8 billion, down from last year's ?8.8 billion.

In Italy, one of the worst-hit by the economic crisis, car sales have sunk to 40-year lows, hurting the earnings of another regional giant, Fiat, the owner of Chrysler. Its CEO, Sergio Marchionne, has abandoned a proposal to invest ?20 billion in Italy because of weak demand and is expected to announce soon its plans for production at Italian plants that have been idled for weeks.

Robert Schulz, an analyst for Standard & Poor's who covers Ford and General Motors, said automakers in Europe are going to have to drastically adjust expectations to determine "what a new normal is" after six years of decline.

"Sales are going to be down in Europe," he said. "Whatever excess capacity they have is only going to get worse."

Capella 3rd-qtr profit drops as enrollments shrink

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) ? Capella Education's third-quarter net income slid 49 percent as the online education company's student enrollments declined 2.1 percent.

The owner of Capella University also predicted fourth-quarter revenue Tuesday that fell short of analyst expectations, as it expects enrollments from October through December to drop 4 to 5 percent. While the company said that it sees signs of stabilization, with new enrollments in the July-September quarter up 10.5 percent, that figure is expected to be flat in the current quarter.

After climbing early in the recession as job-seekers tried to beef up their skills, enrollments have dropped significantly at for-profit schools like Capella. That is in part because the Obama administration enacted new regulations that require schools to meet certain performance targets aimed at making sure students can find jobs and pay off their debt following graduation, or risk losing access to federal student loans. Federal financial aid makes up the bulk of for-profit schools' revenue.

In the July-September quarter, Capella earned $5.1 million, or 39 cents per share, in the July-September quarter. That's down from $9.9 million, or 66 cents per share, during the same period a year earlier.

Analysts expected still-lower earnings of 28 cents per share, according to a FactSet poll.

Revenue fell 3 percent to $99.3 million from $102.3 million. Wall Street's forecast was $98.4 million.

Capella Education Co.'s total enrollments on Sept. 30 came to 34,989.

The Minneapolis company predicts fourth-quarter revenue will fall 3.5 to 4.5 percent, suggesting revenue of $105 million to $106.1 million. Analysts expect revenue of $108.1 million

Capella also expects its profitability to decline as it spends more on "learner success initiatives" and enrollments drop.

Ford Plans to Close Belgian Plant

Article Excerpt

Ford Motor Co. confirmed Wednesday that it entered talks with labor unions over closing its Belgian plant in Genk by the end of 2014 as part of its efforts to streamline costs, cut capacity and turn around its unprofitable European operation.

"The proposed restructuring of our European manufacturing operations is a fundamental part of our plan to strengthen Ford's business in Europe and to return to profitable growth," Ford Europe chief Stephen Odell said ...

Research findings breathe new life into lung disease

ScienceDaily (Oct. 24, 2012) ? It turns out the muscle cells on the outside of blood vessels have been wrongly accused for instigating lung disease. New research shows that while these muscle cells are responsible for constricting or dilating the blood vessels, they are not responsible for sensing the amount of oxygen that gets to the lungs. That message comes from the endothelial cells -- special cells that line the blood vessels -- along a "signalling pathway."

When a person is low on oxygen, blood vessels throughout the body expand to improve the delivery of this vital molecule to the tissues. The one exception is that when oxygen is low in the lungs, blood vessels there constrict. When this condition persists, it causes pulmonary hypertension -- a lung disorder where the arteries that carry blood from the heart to the lungs become smaller -- and makes it difficult for the heart to pump blood through the lungs. This leads to enlargement of the right heart, called right heart failure.

Dr. Wolfgang Kuebler, a Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute scientist at St. Michael's Hospital, has found that the endothelial cells play a much larger role in the constriction of blood vessels in response to the lack of oxygen and in subsequent pulmonary hypertension, than previously believed. The findings of his study, which was conducted on mice, have been published online in the Journal of Clinical Investigation.

"The vascular endothelial cells have always been regarded as a bystander, but we've discovered that lung disease in response to low oxygen originates at this level, that the message is sent by these cells," said Dr. Kuebler. He said that if there were a way to block, or inhibit, this communication along the signalling pathway between the endothelial cells and the smooth muscle cells, we could potentially prevent right heart failure, a fairly common disease among patients with lung disease.

Russell Crowe has 7-mile bike chase with paps

?

By Peter Gicas, E! Online

Russell Crowe gave one paparazzo the ride of his life on Tuesday.

Determined to get the perfect shot of the Oscar winner as he biked through the streets of New York City, J.B. Nicholas hopped on his own two-wheeler and wound up pedaling 7.7 miles from Manhattan to Brooklyn.

"It all started at about 10:30 a.m. when I and five other shutterbugs waited outside a Tribeca hotel where Crowe is staying," Nicholas recalled in a story he wrote for the New York Daily News. "The double front doors of the hotel flew open and Crowe and his bodyguard dramatically shot out on a mountain bike and headed south on Greenwich St."

Nicholas went on to describe how he jumped on his bike and proceeded to pursue Crowe through Battery Park, past the Staten Island Ferry Terminal, under the FDR Drive and onto the Manhattan Bridge.

"I and five other two-wheeling cameramen followed, but most gave up from exhaustion," Nicolas wrote. "There were two of us left and Crowe's bodyguard was trying to block us."

The chase eventually came to an end at the South Williamsburg movie set where Crowe is shooting his upcoming film, "Noah."

First look at Russell Crowe's biblical beard for 'Noah'

"You missed the best shot; I just gave you the finger," Crowe playfully said to Nicholas as he made his way into his trailer.

Soon after, Crowe came out and, much to Nicholas' surprise, gave the guy a hug.

Later in the day, Crowe recalled the experience himself, tweeting :

"11.6km bike ride to work, meditative peace of the morning ritual decimated by paparazzi ... on bicycles ... Only in NY folks."

But he did note, "ride turned in to a bit of fun, certainly upped the speed, did the 11.6km in 30 mins, only 1 pap stayed on pace, I congratulated him."

Of course, this isn't the first time Crowe has gone pedal-to-pedal. In 2009, the "Gladiator" star challenged an Australian journalist to accompany him on one of his rides when she questioned the actor's workout regimen after photos appeared of him supplementing his regular 13-mile bike ride with smoke breaks and tacos.

For Recreation, Sports Collecting is a Wonderful Hobbywith me ...

In this quickly-paced, stressful age we reside in, everyone demands a small recreation. Sports collecting is a hobby that can fill your spare minutes with interest and offer a diversion to the everyday grind. Sports collecting requires a lot of forms based on the individual who is pursuing the hobby. Several men and women select to gather memorabilia from their beloved professional teams, but other people gather items connected to golf, fishing, and other recreation sports. Collecting requires a certain amount of space, but collectors are creative about obtaining ways to display their collectibles.

If you have a favored pro team or two there are numerous things you can gather associated to these teams. For instance, you can generate scrapbooks in which you conserve clippings about fascinating games, favorite players, and unique interviews. You can keep ticket stubs and photographs in your scrapbook, also. Other items, even so, will not fit into a scrapbook, such as a game ball, team jersey, or a team?s annual yearbook. These things will require other storage. There are stands for particular balls, and jerseys appear fantastic hanging on a hanger on the wall. check this out here

You could like to collect souvenir things from all sorts of sports. Most qualified teams sell modest metal pins with their insignia on them. Pin collecting is a extensively practiced hobby, and sports teams are one of the hottest types of collectible pins, as are those commemorating the Olympics. Another choice for sports collecting is to gather antique sports gear. Vintage baseball gloves are an instance of this variety of collectible. Press release about bodybuilding

Baseball cards have lengthy been a supply of recreation. Sports collecting lovers have collected baseball cards, football cards, and basketball cards for a lot of years, although baseball cards had been the very first. This is such a common hobby that some cards are worth a lot of cash, such as a rookie card of a player like Willie Mays.

Other collectors like to accumulate items that illustrate their beloved recreation sports. Collecting products decorated with fish, horses, or golfers are examples of these kinds of collections. For instance, if you enjoy hunting with dogs, you can decorate your property in a hunting dog theme. There are throw pillows printed with handsome hunting dogs, as properly as with the game they assist you uncover. You may possibly uncover lamps that have a hunting dog as the base. You can even have curtains made from hunting dog printed material! The same can be completed around the theme of golf, horseback riding, no matter whether western or eastern, bass fishing, sailboats, and other popular recreation sports. Collecting is a hobby that gives numerous alternatives! check this out here

Helpful Tips On Commercial Real Estate Transactions | Eric Chua ...

Getting involved in commercial real estate can overwhelm and stress out beginners and veterans alike. Below, you?ll find some great commercial real estate tips to help you alleviate or work around areas of stress that you could experience.

Don?t purchase anything until you?re certain that the company you?re dealing with is looking out for your interests. Otherwise, it might cost you a lot of money in the future for something you could have easily avoided.

A good starting point for people looking to purchase real estate is to go online and scour the treasure trove of beneficial information that can help new investors, as well as seasoned professionals. It is wise to learn all you can, as it is impossible to know too much.

TIP! You should put an ad out for your commercial real estate when it is on sale, do it locally and out of town. Too many people assume that only the locals are interested in buying property in the area.

Before being occupied, your new purchase my need some improvements or remodeling. This may be simple changes such as painting or rearranging furniture. Sometimes a new business will need to alter the floor space by moving interior walls. Talk to your landlord about these improvements. Try to negotiate a deal where the landlord pays for some, if not all, of the cost of improving your space prior to moving in.

Square Footage

Be clearheaded about what amount of square footage is really usable. Commercial real estate may be measured by its usable square footage, which is where business would occur. Other measurements could involve uninhabitable spaces and walls. Try to obtain both measurements, in order to really understand how much space is under consideration.

TIP! Do a walk-through and close evaluation of each property you are considering. When looking at a property that you are thinking of purchasing, it?s a good idea to have a licensed contractor accompany you.

Consider the good tax benefits if you are thinking about purchasing commercial properties for investment purposes. Not only are there interest deductions, but also depreciation benefits to be aware of. Investors often get ?phantom income? this is income that does not have tax attached. Learn about phantom income and taxes on commercial income before you invest in your first property.

Pest Control

Before you sign a lease, find out about pest control. You should make inquiries regarding pest control procedures, particularly if you plan to lease somewhere that is known for insect or rodent infestations.

TIP! Know exactly what your business needs before shopping locations. Define the type of office space your business needs.

Educate yourself on the meaning of net operating income (NOI), a term associated with commercial real estate used for investment purposes. In order to be successful and stay profitable, watch this number closely, and take steps to make certain it does not fall into the negatives.

Make sure you never underestimate anyone when it comes to real estate, not your private lenders or your investors, know what everyone is capable of. The more people in your real estate network, the more likely you are to find opportunities to buy. Other investors or private lenders may tell you about investment opportunities that aren?t publicly listed or tell you before the property officially goes on the market.

Real Estate

TIP! Invest in real estate that has a large number of units. The higher the number of units you have in a property, the more streams of financial income you have from the property.

Avoid signing a standard lease for your commercial real estate property. Large real estate companies have been known to hide clauses that are not advantageous to you in their very long, and complicated, leases. Only by going through the document with care can you prevent the potential pains and aches that you can get from standard commercial lease paperwork.

Maintaining and cleaning commercial properties can be costly, but occasionally it is possible to save money. You should keep in mind that people who own a stake in a property have a direct responsibility to cover its costs of cleanup. It can be incredibly expensive to dispose of waste that is not environmentally friendly. Consult an environmental assessment company to get a clear idea of what problems must be addressed. That might cost a bit of money, but that kind of report can save you much more.

This is necessary to enable you to confirm that the terms fit with the rent roll, as well as the pro forma. Unless you carefully go over these terms, it is possible that you will have to go through additional paperwork and transactions.

TIP! If inspections are included in your real estate transaction, as they usually are, make a request to see the inspectors? credentials. You need to be especially diligent when it comes to hiring a pest control service, as many people who work in this field aren?t accredited.

When you are negotiating to rent a commercial property, try to have the lease modified so there are few events that are considered to be defaulting on the lease. This lowers the chance that the person renting will fail to uphold their end of the lease. A default is frustrating and costly.

One of the key things to consider when working with commercial loans instead of those from the residential market is that you should expect to pay a higher percentage of money down on the property. The ideal way in qualifying for this type of loan is by finding the best lenders in addition to asking around for potential investment opportunities.

When you are looking at a commercial property, be sure to look at the neighborhood, too. Purchasing in an affluent area may help your business to be more successful, since the potential clients may have deeper pockets. Bargain-oriented goods and services will find a more receptive market in lower- to middle-class areas.

TIP! Experts recommend not purchasing unit blocks that have fewer than 10 units in them. This is because they can be more difficult to manage than smaller properties.

When you are setting up your home office or commercial property for selling purposes, consider the Asian art of feng shui. Seeing spaces that are not cluttered and very open is appealing to potential buyers.

Dual Agency

Ensure your legal and financial safety by thoroughly examining the disclosures of a potential real estate agent. Dual agency is a possibility that you need to be aware of. Dual agency means the real estate company is representing both the seller and the buyer in a property transaction. This means the agency works for the tenant and the landlord at the same time. Dual agency is something that should always get disclosure, and both parties involved should be in agreement with it.

TIP! Add a blog to your website to help you create an image as an expert in the field. This assists in locating people to buy or lease your property.

Look at any environmental impacts or prior EPA issues with the property. It is your responsibility to clean up any environmental waste on your property. Is the property you?re considering purchasing located in a flood zone? reconsider your options before making a final decision. There are things you can do, like contact the environmental assessment agencies, so that you can gain insight knowledge about the area you plan on investing into.

Finding and buying a commercial property can be a hassle no matter how many times someone has done it before. The tips you just read can help lower your stress while searching for property. Hopefully, following them will allow you to enjoy the search.

Hendrick: Earnhardt cleared, will race next week - Herald Online

? Dale Earnhardt Jr. is expected back on the track next weekend at Martinsville Speedway.

Team owner Rick Hendrick said Sunday that NASCAR's most popular driver has been headache-free for more than a week, and that tests by a specialist in Pittsburgh showed no lingering issues from two concussions that Earnhardt sustained in a six-week span.

Earnhardt will get back into a car on Monday and, if everything goes well, could be cleared to drive by neurosurgeon Dr. Jerry Petty during a follow-up visit on Tuesday.

"Everything's great," Hendrick said before Sunday's race at Kansas Speedway. "He feels good. He's done everything they told him to do. He didn't have any more headaches after, I guess it was Thursday or Friday of Charlotte week, so everything's good."

Earnhardt was first injured in a crash during a tire test Aug. 29 at Kansas, but didn't seek treatment for the mild concussion. He was part of a 25-car pileup on Oct. 7 at Talladega and sought treatment from a doctor who ultimately benched him for two races.

Earnhardt's doctor had said he would not be cleared to race until he'd gone at least four days headache-free, then went through various tests and spent some time behind the wheel.

That wheel time will occur Monday during a closed test that Hendrick said will probably take place at Gresham Motorsports Park in Georgia.

"He's burning up to get in the car. I mean, he wanted to run this weekend," Hendrick said. "He's very anxious. He wants to get back. No way you're going to hold him out unless the doctor wouldn't clear him, but he's good to go."

Earnhardt, who has one win and 10 top-5s this season, was seventh in the Chase for the Sprint Cup standings before the crash at Talladega dropped him to 11th in the standings.

Regan Smith has been replacing him in the Hendrick Motorsports ride, but Hendrick said he doesn't plan to have Smith in the bullpen if an issue arises with Earnhardt at Martinsville.

"We don't think there's any reason to," Hendrick said. "I'd be really surprised if we have to, but we could always go to he or A.J. (Allmendinger), one of the two."

Hendrick said he was concerned there might be a long-term problem when Earnhardt's headaches persisted, which is why he consulted with several specialists. The injury snapped his streak of 461 consecutive starts, the fifth-longest active streak in the Sprint Cup series.

"It was good news when we went down there and the specialist looked at the MRI and there was no damage, no bleeding, no bruising, so that was great news," Hendrick said. "Junior, his head was hurting him bad enough I thought we might have a problem, but we're just really fortunate."

M@h*(pOet)?ica Scott Helmes

#StorySaturday is a Guest Blog weekend experiment in which we invite people to write about science in a different, unusual format ? fiction, science fiction, lablit, personal story, fable, fairy tale, poetry, or comic strip. We hope you like it.

=========================

.

A poem that fully demonstrates the value of a poem?s including mathematics.is Scott Helmes?s ?Non-additive postulations.? It consists of ten equations full of Greek symbols, square root signs, and terms like ?noosphere / RBF.? Their over-all subject, it seems to me, is sex. Probably the most accessible (and my favorite) of them is the one just quoted (which I posted in my first entry to this blog and now will try to make sense of, as I then said I would).

This equation at first seems strange, to say the least. But once one begins mathematizing, interesting things happen. First, ?rudders? divided by ?udders? becomes a simple ?r.? This being the first letter of ?relationship,? the sole term on the left, it brings one quickly and vividly to the ?relationship? that shares that word with ?r.? And one begins whirling into thoughts of the complexity of human love, with its tension of leadership (?rudders?) versus nurture (?udders?) that is at the heart of all relationships? being, or ?are-ness.?

The square root of ?alphawakes? over ?oscillations? is tougher to make sense of. According to the logic of the poem so far worked out, it should equal ?elationships? (which it?s wonderful to believe that some relationships would have!) Mathematically, this means the quantity ?alphawakes? over ?oscillations? squared should equal ?elationships? squared.

If we want to get anywhere with this, poetic intuition must take over from mathematical reasoning (or the strange cousin of it I?ve been using). First, we must explicate ?alphawakes.? If we let the ?wakes? part of it stand for both the opposite of going to sleep and for something associated with funerals, and have the right background in literature, we can grant it the rich ambience it has in the title of Joyce?s Finnegans Wake. Moreover, with ships of sorts involved, ?wake? has yet another meaning with at least a little metaphorical aptness.

Finally, the ?alpha? part of the word strongly brings to mind (as my friend Stephen-Paul Martin noted when reading an earlier version of this analysis) the ?alphawaves? of the dream-state, and the ?goddess? of that state, and of Intuition in general, Joyce?s Anna Livia Plurabelle (ALPha). The ?alph? injects a bold sense of firstness into the meld, too.

I?m a little foggy as to how ?oscillations? fit into it. It seems to me they would tend, by their division into the alphawakes, to reduce the latter?s bounciness?perhaps to tone down the frivolity of the relationships it is contributing to the meaning of.

In any event, the equation stirs varied images and ideas into the mind, which for me is a main function of poetry, and art. Its mathematical formulation not only serves vivifyingly and freshly to condense its message but to provide an almost absurdly
rational background structure to a subject about as beyond rationality as there is, the human male/female ?relationship.? But here with another point of view on works like ?relationships? (my name for it) is Scott Helmes his own self, in the afterword he wrote to Non-Additive Postulations and the Square Root of Other Poems, the book ?relationships? was in?and my press published:

In the late 1960s and early 1970s, I had been reading a number of books relating to communication and inter-disciplinary approaches to education, such titles as Two Cultures and a Second Look (C P. Snow), Cybernetics or Control and Communication in the Animal and the Machine (Norbert Weiner) and The Medium is the Message (Marshall McLuhan) stand out. One afternoon, it occurred to me that mathematical symbols and instructions represented a separate independent language and wouldn?t it be interesting to combine this language with the spoken and written English language. Not ever having written a poem previously, I then proceeded to compose/write about 15 poems dealing with mathematical ideas. Some of the works contained just written words and some contained a combination of mathematical symbols? and words. Wiener?s book was probably the most influential, serving as inspiration as it contained mathematical equations which described communication.

What struck me about mathematics as a language was that the symbols are ?translanguage.? For example, a Russian and English mathematician, neither knowing the other?s spoken language, could converse for days about mathematical issues using the symbols. When the poems were first written, their visual appearance did not appear as striking as I thought they might have seemed in concept; maybe because I had taken physics, acoustics and other engineering courses as part of my college requirements. There was an ?understanding? of them at least visually.

From this, and my own intuitive response to his poems, it seems to me their main function is to suggest the something beyond mundane reality as words wrenched (almost entirely) free of their denotations into nexuses of connotations by their equational re-contextualization rather than used with mathematical symbols in mathematical operations to poetically express old beauty from a new angle.

Ordinarily, I?d strike the preceding paragraph as pretentious, incoherent and dopey, but I?m choosing to leave it as is. I think it a good example of how a critic finding himself in a kind of art as yet rarely if ever effectively written about can have valuable things to say (as I believe I do), but fail to do anything but repel the intelligent reader, or at least make him shake his head in dismay, when he tries to use words to express those valuable things. (Although, alas, many critics will depend, successfully, on texts like the above to dazzle their readers!)

Okay, now for what I hope will be a better try. Like Duchamp putting a urinal into a museum, shearing it of its normal denotations so its attributes as a sculpture became visible (not that Duchamp seems to have realized that?s what he was doing), Helmes puts his poem into mathematical equations to minimize its ordinary denotations and release its connotations. It is equally true that he detaches the math in his works from their technical concerns to allow them . . . to have fun.

He is not concerned that a reader find the kind of story in what he does that I did, although I?m sure if that happens, it?s fine with him. He mainly wants to take his readers on mathematical adventures pure mathematics will never open into, adventures that are also verbal adventures no linguexpressive poems (i.e., poems that are linguistically expressive only) can open into.

In any case, here is the full set of ?non-additive postulate? the poem I dealt with is from:

.

Notice what ?relationships? equals in his second equation. Does that help you with it in the third equation? I think it rather contradicts what I said about relationships, which I thought positive! I?ll leave it to better mathematicians than I to decide. All I can say is that the concept of a ?blueberryohio? even if not taken to the ?tenth power,? makes being with these things worthwhile! And what about the multiplication of ?recognition? by ?without??

I hope in a later entry here to return to these sorts of works by Scott, with improved ideas about them thanks to the world-wide discussion these remarks of mine on them will surely ignite. (Sorry, I don?t believe in emoticons, so you?ll have to guess whether or not I?m being sarcastic here.) Right now, however, I?m going to turn to something recent of Scott?s mathematical poetry in color!

Malevich Today

Malevich Today

I am proud to state that I commissioned this! ?Do something in color for me,? was my command. So, to construct the above, he turned to the work Kasimir Malevich (1878-1935), the inventor of a kind of visimagery (i.e., my idiosyncratic term for ?visual art,? you may recall) known as suprematism around a century ago, and considered (with Piet Mondrian) the most important pioneer of geometric non-representational art. Below is a detail from an early work of his called, ?Supreme.?

Supreme

Supreme

I would describe Scott?s work first of all as a variation on a mathematical proof: a surrealization of such proofs that presents us with two equations we are to take as true, and told that from them the final equation follows. That final equation seems to me a wry squaring of the circle. In any case it gives us something quite fascinating to think about, those of us, that is, with the right short circuits in our brains: the question of just what a flat circle divided by a circle facing us would equal. Visually. Mathematically, I?m sure there are trig tricks, or vector manipulations, or the like, that would take care of the matter. Obviously, because computer programs can use math to re-orient images. But thinking only about a simple arithmetical fraction like this one, what might happen strikes me as rather profound.

Of course, that?s only me?but it?s still important because one of the principal things poetry is good for is nudging an engagent of a specimen of it into thoughts and ideas that seem to him profound, however ditzy they may seem to others. One might even go from my simple wonder into the larger wonder at the magic of exactly what it is mathematically that allows computer software to manipulate images.

While still on the final equation of Scott?s set, the question of how the yellow of the outward-facing circle and the grey of the flat circle will affect what they equal, and why what they equal should be black? Does the fact that the yellow circle has to go through a black division-denoting line have anything to do with it? Silly, yes?but a reminder that details count in poetry!

Much in the ?proof? is left out?no doubt to be considered standard knowledge for poetimeticians, such as the value of ?A.?

Another thought, inspired by the title of the piece, ?Malevich Today?: that Scott?s piece offers us an escape from cut&dry math the way suprematism offers an escape from cut&dry realistic painting?which gives our pleasure in the latter a chance to revive.

The last piece by Scott I want to treat here is another one in color, done some time ago, after I?d shown him some of my long division pieces:

Mathemaku Divided by Grumman

Mathemaku Divided by Grumman

This is almost entirely a visimage (visual image)?but the barely noticeable infiltration of what I call the ?dividend shed? (there doesn?t seem to be a formal name for it, unless it?s the ?guzzinto sign? my friend Sid Glaser told me he knew it as?because it tells us what a divisor ?goes into?), and the even less-noticeable infiltration of the decimal point. So aside from being a wonderful collage with enough triumphs of design to keep us in the thing for days combined with intriguing ever-deepening narratives beginning and ending, we have these two alien features problematizing it. The dot may be the more important of them, but it requires the dividend shed to assert its identity as a decimal point. As such, it decisively mathematicizes the top line of images, transforming it into a sequence of ever diminishing importances, a blank, or zero, amount of tenths being one of them, it would seem.

Granting this, what are we to make of the rectangle with what seems to be an umbrella in it outside the quotient, and the rectangles directly under the divisor, which is the rectangle with the clock in it? Why is the first term in the dividend blank? Against, it would seem we have a surrealization of a mathematical event, in this case, a long division.

Always trying to find what I call a unifying principle in a work of art, I am now going (for now) to abandon my attempt to interpret it as an actual long division the way those of my pieces like it mostly are (see below), for something more subtle. Is it perhaps a fairly formal arrangement of a moment, or perhaps several years, into which Mathematics has stolen in an attempt to find out what makes it tick (and it does tick in a lovely serene way)?to perform something I suddenly see as almost a surgical operation. Some of the arrangement?s magic is becoming susceptible to the reasoning mind the two mathematical elements represent?the sequence ordering itself, and some of the rectangles easing the situation by leaving the main scene, others perhaps finding where a multiplication has set them . . .

What about the alternative idea of the dividend shed as a ray of sunlight?

Do I know what I?m talking about? A little bit, I believe. Mainly, I?m letting my mind drift in the slow currents of the collage?with the hope that I will encourage others to have similar fun not worrying about properly solving the work as a problem, but let themselves be carried away by their mathematical brains, their visual comprehension and poetic story-telling ability into lazy ?para-solutions? of it, or solutions apart but associating with whatever correct solution there is, if any.

Next, here is my ?Long Division Poem for Scott Helmes,? which was inspired by his many adventures in collage:

Long Division for Scott Helmes

Long Division for Scott Helmes

I?ve used up my interpretive skills on Scott?s works, so can?t say much about this right now. Know, however, that it is absolutely correct! Oh, also let me inform you that Aurora was the ancient Romans? goddess of the dawn. I should also confess that this may be unfinished. I?m not sure its quotient is entirely right. . . .

Finally, to demonstrate that Scott isn?t the only one doing artworks that are fascinatingly not mathematical and mathematical at the same time, as well as much else in divers arts and sciences, here?s ?function,? by Carlyle Baker:

You want an explanation? You gotta be kidding! Seriously, I plan to say something brilliantly insightful about it in my next installment, which will be about circles! Study up on them until then!

The Quadski, a one-person amphibious vehicle, is tested in Oxford, Mich., on Oct. 12. The vehicle is being billed as the first commercially available vehicle of its kind by its makers, Michigan-based Gibbs Technologies. It?s scheduled to go on sale in the U.S. by the end of this?year.

The?Quadski

What it is: A one-person, all-terrain vehicle with four wheels that can retract into the vehicle when it goes into the?water.

Speed: It can go up to 45 mph on land or in water. It transitions from land to water mode in five?seconds.

Competition: Gibbs says no other amphibious vehicle offered for sale has managed to go faster than 10 mph in the?water.

Price: About?$40,000.

Sales: The company is expecting to sell about 1,000 Quadskis in the first year. Dealerships will be concentrated in New York, Boston, the Great Lakes, Florida and?Texas.

Cheers: Until now, drivers might have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to retrofit a regular car and make it go ? slowly ? on water. The Quadski vehicle has better technology, and its price tag puts it within reach of far more customers. The company also expects to make eight other personal watercraft. That should eventually bring down the?costs.

Jeers: It?s hard to imagine many people paying $40,000 for it in the current economic?climate.

DETROIT ? Amphibious vehicles could soon be zooming out of James Bond?s garage ? or pond ? and into?yours.

The Quadski ? a one-person all-terrain vehicle that doubles as a personal watercraft ? is being billed by its makers as the first high-speed, commercially available amphibious vehicle. It?s scheduled to go on sale in the U.S. by the end of this year for around $40,000. Michigan-based Gibbs Sports Amphibians Inc. hopes to sell the vehicle worldwide by?2014.

With its all-terrain tires and four-cylinder, BMW-supplied engine, the Quadski can drive up to 45 miles per hour on land. To take it into the water, the driver presses a button. In five seconds, the four wheels fold up and tuck into the sides. The Quadski can go a brisk 45 miles per hour in the water before a press of the button brings the wheels out?again.

?You just drive straight into the water, quite fast, and keep on going. It?s sort of magic,? Gibbs Sports Amphibians founder Alan Gibbs told the Associated Press in a recent?interview.

History is littered with attempts to make fast, long-lasting amphibious cars, from the campy German Amphicar of the early 1960s to current companies that rework sports cars by hand for $200,000 or more. But Gibbs, a former diplomat and entrepreneur from New Zealand, says the Quadski is the first land vehicle for sale that can go more than 10 mph in water. A lightweight, fiberglass hull and front wheels that rise mechanically when the vehicle hits the water are among the tricks the Quadski?uses.

Gibbs, who has made everything from bras to television sets over a long career in New Zealand and the U.K., launched Gibbs Sports Amphibians 16 years ago after building his own amphibious car and wondering if he could make it on a larger scale. Since then, the company has spent $200 million, built nine prototypes and amassed more than 300?patents.

?It seems so simple, but it?s really difficult,? Gibbs?said.

The Quadski isn?t Gibbs? first vehicle. That honor belongs to the three-seat Aquada, which debuted in 2003 and goes 100 mph on land and 30 mph in the water. Virgin Group CEO Richard Branson used an Aquada in 2004 when he set an amphibious vehicle speed record crossing the English?Channel.

But the Aquada never went on sale. First its engine supplier, Rover, went out of business. Then U.S. safety regulators wouldn?t approve it for street use because of several safety issues. The government insisted on air bags, for example, even though Gibbs argued that they might deploy every time the Aquada hit a large?wave.

Gibbs Sports Amphibians hopes to turn things around with the Quadski, which has fewer safety requirements because it?s an ATV. The company?s target customers are outdoor sports enthusiasts as well as first responders. The Quadski will come in five colors and will be available at power sports dealers, concentrated in Florida, Texas, the New York to Boston corridor and the Great Lakes?region.

Ryan Brown, a salesman at Carter Powersports in Las Vegas, has never heard of another vehicle like the Quadski and thinks it?s a great concept. But he?s not sure customers will pay $40,000 for one when a standard ATV costs between $4,400 and?$10,000.

?These are toys people don?t have a lot of extra money for right now,? he said. ?People are having a hard enough time getting financed on a $5,000?motorcycle.?

The Quadski will be made at the company?s Auburn Hills, Mich., factory, a former Daewoo Group parts plant. Gibbs Chairman and CEO Neil Jenkins said the company now has 100 employees at the plant. It plans to produce 20 Quadskis per day with 150 employees when the plant is in full operation. The company expects to sell around 1,000 Quadskis in the first year, but Gibbs says he won?t be disappointed if the company doesn?t meet its sales?targets.

?We?ll respond to how the market develops,? he said. ?We wouldn?t be doing it without being very confident people will love?them.?

Gibbs said the company may return to the Aquada someday and try to make it street legal for U.S. buyers. In the meantime it?s planning eight personal sports vehicles based on the Quadski, including some with more seating and SUV-like?proportions.

The company is also preparing to introduce the Phibian, a 30-foot long, 6.5-ton model, and the Humdinga, a 22-foot, 3.5-ton model, which are both intended for the military and first responders, Gibbs said. The company is looking for partners to produce those?vehicles.
