The UCLA secondary might be getting a bad rap.
That is, if you ask the UCLA secondary.
The Bruins have surrendered 266.4 passing yards per game this year, good for 10th in the conference. They are coming off an outing that saw Washington State's backup quarterback throw for five touchdowns and 457 yards. What needs to change, particularly with USC's powerhouse receiving duo of Marqise Lee and Robert Woods on their way?
"I don't know. We're winning games," UCLA cornerback Aaron Hester said. "Everybody's always talking about the secondary, nit-picking the secondary. You can't look at stats. You've got to watch film to really know what's going on."
"It's just words," Hester continued. "We still gotta play the game. We still gotta play football. People's opinions don't matter."
