Little Mrs. Bieber, Avalanna Routh, Loses Battle With Brain Cancer

We told you earlier this year about the little 6 year old Merrimac, Massachusetts girl, Avalanna Routh. She called herself Mrs. Bieber, touching the pop star?s heart so much that he set up a personal Valentine?s Day ?date? with her in February.? She also appeared on stage with Bieber in June.? Some sad news to report today. Little Avalanna lost her battle with brain cancer this morning, a disease she struggled with for most of her short life.

No reaction yet from Justin Bieber. However, I will say that ever since we first reported on his superstar treatment of this poor little soul, I have nothing but respect for him. The kid is a class act. There are far too many?sports, pop and movie?stars that are?twice his age that could learn a lesson from him about priorities. God bless little Avalanna and her grieving family.

Takings Payments Online - Costs? - UK Business Forums

Hi folks.

I'm trying to get a understanding of ALL costs associated with taking payments online. I've only used Paypal before so not really sure but need a white label solution.

I've heard of IMA accounts, Payment Processing plus a Business Bank Account etc. Just trying to get the total cost and whats associated both per transaction and/or monthly.

What is the total things you need to take payments?

I'm trying to find the "total" cost as its for events we run, ticketing and the customer gets charged the card fee but i want to charge what we get charged as we make on the ticket / event at our bars.

U.S. will "do what we must" on Iran, U.N.'s Ban opposes threats

UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) - President Barack Obama will say on Tuesday the United States will "do what we must" to prevent Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon as U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon warned against threatening attacks whose consequences would be devastating.

Preparing to take the podium at the United Nations six weeks before the U.S. presidential election, Obama hopes to counter criticism of his foreign record by Republican rival Mitt Romney, who has accused him of mishandling the Arab Spring uprisings, damaging ties with Israel and not being tough enough on Iran.

Obama also planned an appeal to world leaders for a united front against further attacks on U.S. diplomatic missions in Muslim countries.

Seeking to step up pressure on Iran, Obama will tell the U.N. General Assembly that there is still time for a diplomacy but that "time is not unlimited," according to advance excerpts of his speech to be delivered on Tuesday morning.

His tough talk appears aimed at easing Israeli concerns about U.S. resolve to curb Tehran's nuclear drive, as he reasserts before the world body that he will never let Iran develop an atomic bomb and then simply contain the problem.

But he will stop short of meeting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's demand to set a clear "red line" that Iran must not cross if it is to avoid military action.

"A nuclear-armed Iran is not a challenge that can be contained," he will say. "It would threaten the elimination of Israel, the security of Gulf nations and the stability of the global economy."

"The United States will do what we must to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon."

In an apparent allusion to recent comments by U.S., Israeli and Iranian officials, Ban opened the annual U.N. General Assembly by warning states against threatening to attack one another and sounded a pessimistic note about Arab-Israeli peace.

"I also reject both the language of delegitimization and threats of potential military action by one state against another," Ban said. "Any such attacks would be devastating."

U.S. officials have repeatedly said that all options are on the table against Iran - code for a possible military strike - while Israel's Netanyahu has called for a U.S. ultimatum to Iran.

On Monday, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Israel has no roots in the Middle East and would be "eliminated." The White House dismissed his comments as "disgusting.

MUSLIM ANGER

Obama is also seeking to reassure voters that he is doing everything he can to head off any more violence like the September 11 attack in Libya that killed the U.S. ambassador and three of his colleagues.

A wave of Muslim anger over a crude anti-Islam video made in California has swept the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia. Americans were stunned by images of U.S. flags again burning in the Muslim world, the focus of intense personal diplomacy by the president at the start of his term.

"The attacks of the last two weeks are not simply an assault on America. They are also an assault on the very ideals upon which the United Nations was founded," Obama will tell the assembled world leaders.

This eruption of violence has confronted Obama with the worst setback yet in his efforts to keep the Arab Spring revolutions from turning against the United States - and has demonstrated that he has few easy options.

In his speech, he has the delicate task of articulating U.S. distaste for insults to any religion while at the same time insisting there is no excuse for a violent reaction - a distinction rejected by many Muslims.

The crisis has exposed a deep divide over the issues of free speech and blasphemy at a time when Islamist forces are in the political ascendant in the Middle East after several veteran dictators were ousted.

"Today, we must declare that this violence and intolerance has no place among our United Nations," Obama will say.

Obama is not expected to offer detailed solutions to an array of crises that threaten to chip away at a foreign policy record that his aides hoped would be immune from Republican attack.

ELECTION THE PRIORITY

With campaign pressures building in a close race, Obama's final turn on the world stage before facing voters on November 6 has left little doubt about his immediate priorities.

He skipped the customary one-on-one meetings with foreign counterparts but went ahead with the taping of a campaign-style appearance on the popular television talk-show "The View" - a trade-off that drew Republican criticism.

Obama planned to be in and out of New York in 24 hours and off to the election battleground state of Ohio on Wednesday.

Despite Obama's international woes, administration officials are heartened by Romney's own recent foreign policy stumbles and doubt that the president's critics will gain traction in a campaign that remains focused mainly on the U.S. economy.

In addition, the White House never tires of touting the killing of Osama bin Laden and the ending of the Iraq war as Obama's foreign policy accomplishments.

Nevertheless, the unsettled climate surrounding Obama's U.N. visit will be a stark reminder that the heady optimism that greeted him when he took office, and was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize within months, has now cooled.

Obama's early overtures to Iran were rejected, and the expansion of Tehran's nuclear program, which it says is purely peaceful, has created tension between Washington and Israel, which sees a nuclear-armed Iran as a threat to its existence.

Netanyahu has indicated impatience over Obama's entreaties to hold off on attacking Iran's nuclear sites to give sanctions and diplomacy more time to work.

The unusually public dispute between the United States and Israel has been exacerbated by Obama's decision not to meet with Netanyahu on his U.S. visit later this week, a move that risks alienating some pro-Israel voters.

Signaling resentment at Netanyahu's tactics, Obama told CBS's "60 Minutes" he would ignore "noise that's out there."

Acquiring Balance: Religious Relationships

At times the fact of the matter arouses an overwhelming sense of loss. Because certain pairings of friendship could be so?fulfilling...if not for the religious views getting in the way. Families would be less torn apart, friends would get along better. Yet, not many can see this fact or admit the double life that religion can bring...acting one way while feeling another, pretending to be "good" while holding in anger, submitting because it is believed to be right instead of submitting out of love. But most of all, the judgements that are made unknown to the one judging. The little pieces said. The reason why friendships fall through. One sentence can convey a whole load of meaning. The lack of confidence those outside feel when it comes to trust. Because how can we trust people with such strong beliefs ruling every decision? How can we trust our true feelings, our imperfections, our struggles, and even our glorious moments to people who measure them by scripture and sermon?

The most fulfilling relationships do not involve religious intent. Of course, some of the most fulfilling relationships involve Divinity or a belief in something. Faith gets a conversation deep and far. Overwhelming love covers a multitude of problems. Unfortunately, the lack of genuinely close, reaching deep, freedom giving relationships...those type of formations we long for...do not come from shared rules. They come from shared BEING. If one knows the stances of another, and knows that these stances are not flexible, there is only so far the conversation can go without uncomfortable feeling.

I have seen this story override budding beauty. Watched the breaking of what could have been an amazing friendship...all because of belief. It is sad. That lack of freedom. Watching what one says. Knowing that a step in the "wrong" direction could cause a feud. Knowing that admitting a consideration for people groups could condemn one to hell. The ghost of ideals continually haunts.

Observing both parties, I feel grief. Deep gut wrenching grief for all involved. The saddest part is - they are too blind to see. It can not be explained until eyes are open. Most prefer to cling to stability than to engage in humanity. They pass it off, "Are you sure that you are not blind by saying we are blind? How can you say that my belief in God is ruining my relationships? Other people are doing that." Maybe I am blind. I am blind to sharp corners and rigid stances. Being out of that mindset sometimes it is shocking to see again. But I am not blind to the tragedy. Nor to the beauty of loving relationships when they are seen. All relationships have conflict but the deeper conflicts come from one of two things:
1) No belief in anything good or any Being that promotes Love. So the family and friends fall prey to deep disregard for another and selfishness.
2) Deep belief in a set or system that promotes a Being but honours the "way" to that being more than another. Religious souls who use "God" to make labels.
I have seen both play out. Both are heartbreaking. Number one is more obvious, while two hides behind a guise...but the result is the same...tearing apart of souls. It is deeply sad to watch.
